The Best Stream of Income to Build Right Now: What I Would Do If I Had to Start All Over Again
I often get asked a simple question: “If you had to start all over again, what would you do?”
Here is my honest answer – and what I believe is the best stream of income to build right now.
If I had to start again from zero, I would buy an existing business.
Why? Because almost everything you want to create already exists or is partially created. Instead of starting from scratch, I would buy something that has already been built, then develop it further.
Starting from zero is extremely hard, and the odds are against you. If you look at business statistics, the success rate for new companies is very low. Thousands of businesses are started every year, yet only a small percentage survive long term. But if you buy a business that has been operating for 10 years, the probability of succeeding becomes much higher.
So if this is true, why don’t more people buy businesses? Why do most people think starting a business is easier than buying one?
There are a few misconceptions we need to address.
Misconception 1: “It’s cheaper to start a business than to buy one.”
Most people assume buying a business requires a lot of money, so starting one feels safer and cheaper. But this isn’t correct.
When buying a business, you can use bank financing instead of your own money. There are lenders, banks and investors who fund acquisitions when the business is profitable and well-structured.
When you start a business, you pay with your time. You must create every asset from scratch – systems, processes, leads, branding, fulfilment, sales, operations and more.
But if you buy a profitable 7-figure business using bank financing, many of these assets already exist. They had to – otherwise the business wouldn’t have reached 7 figures in the first place. This means you save years of time and dramatically increase your odds of success.
Misconception 2: “You need credibility or experience to buy a business.”
Another belief is that business owners will only sell to someone experienced. In reality, many business owners want to retire but have no successor to pass the company to.
This is especially true for Baby Boomers – people born between 1946 and 1964 — one of the largest generations currently retiring. Many of them built strong, profitable businesses, but their children do not want to take over. As a result, thousands of profitable companies close every year simply because there is no one to continue the legacy.
If you approach these owners the right way, the probability of them selling their business to you is very high.

Why Buying a Business Is One of the Best Income Streams Today
If you start a business from zero, it can take months – sometimes years – to earn enough to pay yourself a salary.
But if you buy a profitable business, you can pay yourself from day one.
You also avoid the hardest stage of entrepreneurship: the beginning. Someone else already did the heavy lifting. All you need to do is improve what already exists.
This is why I believe that buying an existing business is one of the fastest and most powerful paths to financial freedom today.
If I Had to Start Again…
If I had to start all over again, I would buy a profitable business. I truly believe it is one of the best income streams you can build right now. You save time, increase your chances of success and start earning much sooner than if you built a company from scratch.
